Ex-Arsenal striker emerges as unlikely support for under-fire former Manchester United boss

Ex-Arsenal frontman Carlos Vela has come out in support for Real Sociedad coach David Moyes, following his club’s poor start to the Liga BBVA campaign. Real have been miserable so far this season, and their woes were compounded on Saturday when they fell to a 3-2 defeat at home to rivals Celta Viga. To date, Sociedad have won only two of their opening 10 matches, and the Basque outfit sit 17th in the Spanish top flight, only two points clear of the relegation zone.
