Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez injury doubt for Chile's 2018 World Cup qualifier
Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez could miss tonight's 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uruguay due to a calf injury. The 26-year-old, who has scored six Premier League goals for the Gunners so far this season, has told manager Jorge Sampaoli that he feels a twinge in his calf. The Chile boss told reporters: "Alexis has a pain in his calf and we will wait for him until the last minute to see if he is ready to play." Reports have claimed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants to give Sanchez a mid-season break in order to prevent burnout. The attacker did not have an extended holiday during the summer as he contributed to Chile's Copa America campaign.
