Arsenal monitor six players as potential replacements for injured star
Arsenal are preparing to replace newly-injured star Francis Coquelin this January and have come up with a shortlist of potential candidates, according to reports from the Daily Mail. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger took a big gamble during the summer by not signing a defensive midfielder as cover for Coquelin, and now the Frenchman is set to miss at least three months with a knee problem he picked up during their 2-1 loss to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
