Former Arsenal Striker To Turn Down Chelsea For Napoli Move
It has been reported that Emmanuel Adebayor is ready to leave the Premier League for Italy. Released by Tottenham earlier this season from his contract, the former Arsenal and Manchester City striker has been linked with Aston Villa, Watford and Chelsea. But calcionews24.com claims that Napoli have made contact with Adebayor's minders about a move to Serie A next month. Napoli chief Cristiano Giuntoli has held a meeting with Adebayor's Italian intermediaries Umberto Caramanica and Andrea Di Lella in recent days. Should they press on with a deal, Napoli will have to takeover the £100,000-a-week Spurs are still paying Adebayor as part of their compensation agreement.
