‘Exceptional’ Mesut Ozil pleases Arsene Wenger as Arsenal get back to winning ways
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has praised Mesut Ozil after his showing helped them defeat Sunderland 3-1 at the Emirates. The Gunners hadn’t won either of their last two matches but managed to claim victory despite another shaky display against the Black Cats on home soil. One man who did impress was German star Ozil though, and Wenger was left to purr over his performance after the match. “He was tremendous again today and it’s just a pleasure to watch,” said the French boss. “We struggled a little bit to find our fluency at times but when the ball comes to him you know things will be more serene and technically right.
