Arsenal tracking in-form Deportivo La Coruna winger Lucas Perez as stand-in for injured stars
Arsenal have been tracking the progress of Deportivo La Coruna winger Lucas Perez, claim reports in Spain. The Spaniard has been one of the standout players in La Liga so far this season, having scored ten goals in 14 appearances, and is currently on a run of netting in five consecutive games. According to El Ideal Gallego, Arsenal sent scouts to Spain to watch Perez in action against Sevilla at the weekend and Arsene Wenger has received glowing reports of the 27-year-old. With Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez currently sidelined with injuries, Arsenal could go for another winger in the January transfer market and it now appears that Perez is at the top of their wish-list
