Report: Arsenal nearing signing of Russian striker Aleksandr Kokorin
Arsenal are close to completing a deal to sign Russian international striker Aleksandr Kokorin from Dynamo Moscow, according to a report. The 24-year-old, who has played his entire career to date in his home country, has scored 10 goals in 36 appearances for the Russian national side. His contract at the Moscow club is due to expire at the end of the season, and according to Russian outlet Izvestia, Arsene Wenger is keen to complete a deal which could cost the Gunners less then £4.5m. The report claims that Kokorin has been a target of Wenger's since before this summer, and that the two clubs have now opened negotiations with a view to a deal being completed in January.
