Arsenal target January move for Shakhtar captain to replace departing star

Arsenal are considering a move for Shakhtar Donetsk captain Darijo Srna in the January transfer window, according to reports from the Metro. The Gunners are set to look for a new right-back when the transfer market reopens next month as a potential replacement for Mathieu Debuchy, who has struggled for regular playing time and is keen on departing the Emirates. Debuchy has found usurping Hector Bellerin in the right back role extremely difficult, and the Frenchman wants to play first-team football in order to have a chance of making France’s Euro 2016 squad.
