Arsenal celebration short-lived as star player suffers hamstring injury, out until mid-January

Arsenal recorded a huge win over Manchester City in a 2-1 victory that has them right in the thick of the Premier League title hunt. But the celebration for manager Arsene Wenger may have to wait as he received some sobering news about one of his top players, Alexis Sanchez. According to the Telegraph, the already-injured Sanchez suffered a brand new hamstring injury on Saturday during practice that will sideline him until mid-January. The target date at this time would be the January 13 clash against Liverpool. The Chilean striker led the team in scoring last season as Arsenal won the FA Cup for their second year in a row.
