Premier League-title winner to snub England return to join Liverpool legend in MLS

Former Arsenal and Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole is expected to join Steven Gerrard at LA Galaxy. According to The Sun, the 35-year-old is desperate for a fresh start after a nightmare spell at Roma. Cole signed for Roma after leaving Chelsea in 2014 but made just 11 Serie A appearances in 12 months before having his contract mutually terminated. The Sun reports that rock-bottom Aston Villa want to bring the 107-cap England defender back to the Premier League to improve their vulnerable defence.
