Arsenal on the verge of sealing deal for defensive midfield target
Arsenal are believed to be close to sealing a deal for Egyptian international Mohamed Elneny with Swiss news outlet Aargauer Zeitung claiming that they have agreed a fee with FC Basel for his signature. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to keep the club's forward momentum running into the new year, but thanks to injuries to both Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla, the manager has been forced to make moves in the transfer window.
