Roy Hodgson confirms Wayne Rooney will captain England at Euro 2016 if fit

Roy Hodgson has said Wayne Rooney will captain England at this summer’s European Championship if the forward proves his fitness after a knee injury, and he has indicated he will select Jack Wilshere in his squad for France as long as the midfielder is back playing for Arsenal.
