Arsenal Trash Hull City To Reach Quarter-Finals Of The 2015/16 FA Cup

Holders Arsenal are through to the quarter-finals of the 2015/16 FA Cup courtesy of a 4-0 win over Hull City at the KC Stadium. Arsene Wenger's men ended a five-game winless run by overcoming Steve Bruce's Tigers who had made life difficult in the first half. Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott both notched pairs but it was not all positive for the North Londoners who lost central defensive duo Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista as well as key midfielder Aaron Ramsey to various injuries. Frenchman Giroud netted the only goal of the opening 45 minutes late in the half when he pounced on a horror backpass from Hull skipper David Meyler before slotting beyond Eldin Jakupovic.
