Arsene Wenger says Rafa Benitez is a 'top class' manager
The former Chelsea and Liverpool boss, who was sacked at La Liga giants Real Madrid in January, signed a three-year deal at St James' Park earlier today. Steve McClaren was sacked just hours before - and left the Magpies sitting second from bottom in the Premier League after eight months in charge. And Wenger, who has seen 14 different managers at Newcastle during his 19-year spell at Arsenal, believes the Magpies have hired a 'top class' boss. "It's a sad sign for Steve McClaren but of course Benitez is a top-class manager," Wenger said of Newcastle's appointment. GETTY
