Manchester United scout £27m-rated wonderkid – but more established striker may have caught their eye

Manchester United scouts were in the stands to watch highly-rated Rennes striker Ousmane Dembele in Sunday's match with Lyon, according to the Daily Mail. But the Red Devils are seemingly only one of many European clubs to be tracking the 18-year-old wonderkid, who provided Rennes’ first goal in a 2-2 draw. The Daily Mail reports that Barcelona representatives were also in attendance,and have previously made a £27m offer to secure his signature for this summer. The teenager is being touted as one of the best young talents in French football, having scored nine goals in only 14 Ligue 1 starts for Rennes this season.
