Mohamed Elneny lands top Arsenal prize… but it's not all good news for the Gunners
GETTY AWARD: Mohamed Elneny has been named Arsenal's player of the month for March The 24-year-old edged out Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil to land the gong, voted for by Gunners fans. Elneny joined Arsenal from FC Basel in January and Arsene Wenger eased the Egypt international into first-team action by initially using him in the FA Cup. But Arsenal's injury problems have handed him a regular run in the side and he racked up five appearances this month. He scored in the Champions League defeat against Barcelona at the Nou Camp and has impressed in the middle of the park.
