Jack Wilshere wants to finish above Tottenham to show Arsenal are the top team in north London
The Gunners moved to within two points of Spurs with their draw against Manchester City yesterday after Mauricio Pochettino's side were beaten by Southampton. And Wilshere, who replaced the injured Danny Welbeck after 24 minutes, is hoping for a favour from Newcastle on the final day. “We all knew the Spurs result [before the City game] and of course that motivates us,” he told the Evening Standard. “We want to finish above them and show we are the best team in north London. “We expect to win our home games so hopefully Newcastle can do us a favour."
