N FC's Steve Nicol and Mark Donaldson weigh in on the latest surrounding Arsenal target Granit Xhaka. Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach, according to reports in England and Germany. Xhaka, 23, has been linked with a move to Arsenal with sources telling N FC in April that the club are confident of securing a deal. The Gunners were looking to land the midfielder for a fee of £30 million (€38m) but Rheinische Post reports they have had to increase their offer to an initial payment of £33.9m (€43m) plus add-ons.
