Just days ago it seemed that Arsenal had wrapped up the signing of Jamie Vardy from Leicester but as EURO 2016 grows ever closer, the signing looks less and less likely. Vardy scored an outstanding 24 goals for the Foxes last season, whereas Arsenal's top scorer, Olivier Giroud, scored eight fewer as Arsenal finished 10 points behind Claudio Ranieri's men. Giroud even went through a 15-game goalless spell, while the English striker scored in 11 consecutive league games, a Premier League record. Fans may be wondering what is taking the two clubs so long to complete the deal....
