Picture special: Takuma Asano
Young Japanese forward Takuma Asano has agreed to join the club from Sanfrecce Hiroshima. The 21-year-old has played five times for Japan and is expected to be part of their squad for the Rio Olympics. Arsenal agree deal for Japan forward Takuma made 56 appearances and scored 11 goals in the J-League. He won the J1 League in 2013 and 2015, the Japanese Super Cup in 2013, 2014 and 2015, and was voted as the J-League ‘Rookie of the Year’ in 2015. Below is a gallery of images from his career so far.
