Roma plan to extend loan deal for Arsenal keeper

Roma are planning to extend loan deal for Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny according to the Daily Star [via Gazza Mercato]. The report claims that Arsenal are not interested in keeping Szczesny next season and that Roma may even try to push for a permanent deal. The Polish intentional keeper fell down the pecking order at Arsenal following the transfer of Petr Cech from Chelsea. Szczesny was loaned out to Roma last summer and David Ospina filled in as Arsenal's number two keeper. The 26-year-old kept nine clean sheets in a grand total of 42 games for the Italian giants last season. Besiktas may be monitoring the situation as they are themselves keen on Ospina, so say The Mirror....
