Arsenal’s pursuit of another star striker is over, claim reports from Spain
Arsenal target Alvaro Morata is set to sign a new contract with Real Madrid according to Spanish newspaper Diario AS, with suggestions the links to the Premier League were used to strengthen the players position in contract negotiations. The former Juventus man has been a reported target for Arsenal all summer following the player’s return to Madrid after the Italian giants activated his buyback clause. It was claimed the Spanish outfit would sell the forward in order to fund another larger move, perhaps for Paul Pogba, but AS claims that is not the case.
