Chuba Akpom in line for Arsenal starting spot?
Arsene Wenger could reportedly turn to Chuba Akpom to lead the line for Arsenal in their Premier League opener against Liverpool next month. The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Hull City in the Championship and has never previously started a top-flight game. Wenger has already confirmed that he will give Olivier Giroud an extended break to recover from his Euro 2016 exertions and, according to the Evening Standard, Akpom is now in contention to start the season up front.
