Matthias Ginter provided two goals and seven assists before the winter break last season but then fell behind Lukasz Piszczek in the pecking order. Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has said defender Matthias Ginter remains part of the club's plans despite links with Arsenal, Hamburg and Wolfsburg. Germany international Ginter, 22, joined Dortmund from Freiburg after the 2014 World Cup but has struggled for consistency at the Westfalenstadion.
