Arsenal confirm new signing's shirt number: One player already rejected it this summer!
ARSENAL/ GETTY COME IN NO.16: Holding has been given his Arsenal shirt number The England Under-21 defender completed a switch from Bolton earlier today. He's understood to have moved south for around £2m. Arsenal have confirmed the player will wear the club's No.16 jersey next season. Aaron Ramsey has worn that shirt in recent seasons, but he's been bumped up to No.8 following Mikel Arteta's retirement. Swiss star Granit Xhaka was originally lined up to wear Arsenal's No.16. But after he performed a late U-turn, Xhaka will now wear No.29 instead.
