Transfer News: Shock £15m Arsenal swoop, Snub before Man Utd deal, Liverpool ace on future
Arsenal have reportedly identified Jonny Evans as a surprise target to help fill the whole in Arsene Wenger's defence. Per Mertesacker's long-term knee injury has left the Gunners short of experienced options at the back. And according to the Mirror, West Brom's Evans is seen as potential cover with a move being weighed up this summer. The former Manchester United centre-half has impressed at The Hawthorns since his move last year, and continued his solid form at Euro 2016 with Northern Ireland. It is claimed the Gunners could make a £15million approach for the 28-year-old, who left United in search of regular first-team football. GETTY
