Shkodran Mustafi has not yet agreed a move to Arsenal
Mustafi’s representative Ali Bulut was quoted as saying the defender had agreed personal terms with the Gunners and that a deal was close. However, Bulut has now moved to clarify his position. He told German outlet Kicker: "There are talks, but there is no agreement - neither between Arsenal and Mustafi nor between Valencia and Arsenal." Arsenal are on the lookout for a new centre-back following injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel. Mertesacker is facing five months out after suffering a knee injury in pre-season.
