Arsenal's £30m move for Mustafi set to be completed within 24 hours amid injury crisis

Shkodran Mustafi has impressed at Valencia in the last two seasons at the club Arsene Wenger has moved swiftly to avert a defensive injury crisis with a move for Mustafi, 24, in which Arsenal will pay an initial £20m plus add-ons. Mustafi’s agent, Ali Bulut, said: “Shkodran has agreed terms. There are only fine details over the fee to be agreed.” Gunners boss Wenger has been forced into the market after long-term injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel left him without a fully fit senior centre-back for Sunday’s Premier League opener against Liverpool.
