Bundesliga midfielder drops Arsenal transfer bombshell: I held talks with Arsene Wenger
GETTY MOVE: Naby Keita joined Bundesliga new boys RB Leipzig from Salzburg in July The Gunners had been tracking Keita when he played for Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg and reports of their interest emerged in March. Keita, 21, claims he held talks with Arsene Wenger and had interest from three more Premier League clubs. But he eventually joined Bundesliga new boys RB Leipzig on a four-year deal for £12.75m (€15m) in July. When asked which English clubs contacted him, he told Die Welt: "Arsenal, Southampton, Manchester City and Liverpool. “I didn’t speak with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. I just had contact with Arsene Wenger who speaks French.” Related...
