Arsenal close to matching Turkish giants valuation for star defender
Arsenal are close to matching Fenerbahce's valuation for the Denmark international defender Simon Kjaer according to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik. Per-the-source, Arsenal are set to table a £12 million offer for Kjaer in the coming days. However, a source close the player told Caught Offsides Eren Sarigul that Fenerbahce will not consider and offers below £13 million. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to sign a new centre-back before the transfer window closes following long-term injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel.
