West Brom rummage through free transfer bin, hand debuts to former Liverpool and Arsenal men, plus two summer signings

West Bromwich Albion signed two players on Transfer Deadline Day as Allan Nyom and Hal Robson-Kanu moved to The Hawthorns. Those two additions doubled the number of Baggies summer signings, adding to the earlier arrivals of Matt Phillips and Nacer Chadli. But Tony Pulis wants more, it seems, and has therefore been rummaging through the free transfer bargain bin. Clubs are allowed to sign unattached players outside of transfer windows and West Brom have now handed trials to former Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh, 32, and ex-Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko, 31.
