Arsenal growing in confidence they can finally convince crucial pair to commit long-term futures

Arsenal are reportedly edging closer to tying both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez down to new long-term contracts after months of speculation. Negotiations are said to have begun in May, and with international duty and other factors delaying progress over the summer it naturally led to suggestions that perhaps there was more to the situation which could cause issues over penning new contracts. However, according to The Mirror, the Gunners are now confident that the pair will commit their futures to the club and new deals could be in place in the coming weeks.
