Arsene Wenger schedules contract talks for midfield ace for December as he reiterates he has long-term future at Arsenal

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted that contract talks with Jack Wilshere will start in December despite the fact that the midfielder is out on loan at Bournemouth currently. A combination of injuries, lack of form and competition for places led to the decision to allow Wilshere to leave north London on a temporary basis ahead of the transfer deadline last month. The England international will hope to secure regular playing time and prove his class under Eddie Howe between now and next May, but the move did raise eyebrows over his future with the Gunners.
