The Gunners got their Champions League campaign off to the worst possible start and were behind after just 40 seconds when Serge Aurier whiped in a cross and Edinson Cavani headed home past David Ospina. PSG almost doubled their lead when Angel di Maria’s corner nearly crept in, but Opsina was able to claw the ball out from right under the crossbar. Arsenal’s first real chance of the match came when Nacho Monreal found space on the left, and he chipped a cross to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at the back post, but his header was cleared in the goalmouth.
