Olivier Giroud is yet to start a game for Arsenal this season
Giroud has been left out of the France squad after failing to start a game for Arsene Wenger’s side this season. Sanchez has been preferred up front and has scored four times in seven Premier League games so far. Giroud was given extra time off following Euro 2016 - where France lost to Portugal in the final - but he is yet to force his way back into the side and was sent off in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain.
