EXCLUSIVE: Ex-Arsenal man thought he’d never leave - Wenger told me this before I left
GETTY Craig Eastmond has revealed how his exit from Arsenal came about Eastmond joined Arsenal as an 11-year-old from Millwall in 2002 and spent over a decade with his boyhood club. After 10 appearances for the Gunners’ first-team, including a couple of Premier League starts and one in the Champions League away at Shakhtar Donetsk, the midfielder left the club permanently in 2013. Eastmond, who is set to face Arsenal for Sutton in the FA Cup on Monday, has revealed how his exit came about and how he thought he would never leave. “I basically ran out of contract, obviously it wasn’t meant to be,” he told Starsport.
