Wenger takes the blame but Arsenal players must show fight at Anfield

Despite links to Barcelona, Arsene Wenger insists his preference has always been Arsenal. On Jan. 13 last year, Arsenal were top of the Premier League and just minutes away from extending their lead over Leicester. At Anfield they were leading 3-2 as the game went into injury time, but a late Joe Allen header saw them drop two points. Instead of coming back to London full of confidence after a big away victory, the inability to win on the road at one of the traditional big teams simply reinforced doubts and certainly had an effect on a team whose mentality has often been far too fragile.
