Liverpool player heaps praise on Arsene Wenger ahead of Arsenal clash
GETTY Alex Manninger is still a big fan of Arsene Wenger The veteran goalkeeper played for Arsenal for four seasons, finishing his time at the Emirates 16 years ago. And he's still impressed by Wenger for ushering in modern football to the Premier League, despite the French manager taking heavy criticism for Arsenal's performance in recent seasons. "You’ve got [Jurgen] Klopp, [Pep] Guardiola, [Jose] Mourinho, the English lads, the German guys, the Spanish guys and Argentinian guys and you have the modern way of football in the whole of Europe now," he told Liverpool's official website.
