Arsenal Transfer News: Axe seven and bring in three in these positions - Charlie Nicholas
GETTY Charlie Nicholas has told Arsene Wenger to axe up to seven first-team players The Gunners boss has committed his future to the club and former forward Nicholas thinks major surgery is required on the squad. The Scot has told Wenger to axe six or seven fringe players and bring in two big names. Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette fits the bill up front while Virgil van Dijk of Southampton or Real Madrid's Raphael Varane would be ideal defensive reinforcements for Nicholas. The 55-year-old thinks a top-class central midfielder should also be targeted given Santi Cazorla's ongoing fitness problems.
