Sunderland striker Joel Asoro confirms Arsenal interest
Joel Asoro is said to be one of the most promising youngsters at Sunderland, where he made four senior appearances in the season just gone. The 18-year-old's performances appeared to impress Arsenal, with the Sunderland Echo claiming the Gunners were lining up a £5million bid for him and team-mate Benjamin Mbunga Kimpioka. And now Asoro has confirmed Arsenal are interested in signing him, but admits the news of their pursuit came as a surprise.
