Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette could join Arsenal
The Gunners have lodged a £45 million bid plus add ons for the French international which is just short of the Ligue 1 sides asking price of £50m plus additional payments. Lacazette, 26, who verbally agreed to join Atletico Madrid before a transfer embargo was upheld, has been given the green light for a move to the Emirates Stadium. The Frenchman scored 37 goals in his 45 appearances for Lyon last season. He will become the most expensive signing in the Gunners' history to eclipse the £42.4m paid to Real Madrid to sign Mesut Ozil four years ago.
