N Shaka Hislop says Everton should not sign Wayne Rooney or Olivier Giroud Rooney is set to complete a return to boyhood club Everton this week, 13 years after leaving for Manchester United. The England captain was out of favour under Jose Mourinho last season and has seen himself be dropped by national team boss Gareth Southgate. Many pundits believe Rooney, at 31, still has plenty to offer but Hislop says he is not worth Everton paying him £250,000-a-week.
