Per Mertesacker to retire: Defender to become Arsenal academy boss at end of season
GETTY Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker will retire at the end of the season The 32-year-old has enjoyed a successful career, winning the World Cup with Germany and three FA Cups with the Gunners. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is delighted Mertesacker has agreed to the new position at the club.
