Arsenal transfer news and rumours: Arsene Wenger considers £26m swoop for Mario Mandzukic
Arsenal Arsenal are said to be lining up a £26m swoop for Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic. According to the Metro, the forward has been told he can leave Atletico Madrid before the transfer window closes tomorrow and that Arsenal are interested. The 28-year-old has proved himself a nuisance for opposing defences because of his size and hard work-rate and could give Arsenal a second physical forward in the same mould as Olivier Giroud. Arsenal, however, may not be in the market for another striker, especially with Danny Welbeck close to a return from injury.
