Report: Arsenal quoted £40m for Marco Verratti
Paris Saint-Germain have told Arsenal they will need to pay £40m if they want to prise Italian international midfielder Marco Verratti away from the Parc des Princes. The 22-year-old, who joined Paris Saint-Germain from Pescara in 2012, recently signed a new five-year contract with Laurent Blanc's side. However, Arsenal are considering a move for Verratti, though they may be put off by his price tag, reports the Daily Star. Verratti has made 76 appearances for the French side, scoring one goal.
