Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck set for lengthy spell out after knee surgery
The striker Danny Welbeck has undergone surgery on his left knee and will be out for “a period of months”, Arsenal have announced. Despite hopes Welbeck would be able to recover from bone bruising around the knee, the striker had to undergo surgery after being unable to sufficiently step up his rehabilitation, a statement on Arsenal’s website said on Thursday.
