Carvalho admits fondness for Arsenal
Sporting Lisbon star William Carvalho has expressed his desire to play for Arsenal after admitting he’s been a fan of the club since the days of Thierry Henry. The central midfielder, 23, has long been linked with the Gunners and admits they would be his first choice if ever he was to move to the Premier League. Arsenal only signed goalkeeper Petr Cech over the summer, but have often had the midfielder watched. Carvalho currently has just over two and a half years left on his Sporting contract and the club is soon expected to open talks over a new deal for the £30million-rated star.
