Stephen Gleeson opened the scoring before Paul Caddis and Toral made it three before the interval. Alexander Kacaniklic pulled one back for the hosts but Clayton Donaldson then hit another for Birmingham. Ross McCormack scored in added time but Viv Solomon-Otabor claimed a late goal to seal the three points.
