Arsenal handed boost in bid to rival Real Madrid for Serie A striker

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata has revealed that the Premier League appeals to him and believes that he would be well suited to the English game. The 23-year-old is under contract with the Bianconeri until 2020, but Real Madrid hold a buy-back clause to reacquire him at the end of either this season or next with his valuation potentially increasing to 30m. According to AS, the Spanish giants intend on exercising that option, but with a view of selling Morata on and making a profit. While that situation would certainly leave Juve short-handed, it will be welcome news for Arsenal provided that they are willing to pay the kind of fee that Madrid are keen on receiving.
