Lyon's move for former Premier League star Emmanuel Adebayor collapses

GETTY DENIED: Adebayor's move to France collapsed The Ligue 1 side were considering snapping up the former Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and Crystal Palace striker, who is a free agent. But according to a statement on their website they've decided against picking up the 32-year-old. Their decision was influenced by Adebayor's inability to play in the group stages of the Champions League as he could't be registered to their squad. All players including free agents have to be registered for the competition before September 1. The Togo international is also keen to play in the African Cup of Nations at the start of 2017 which would see him miss several weeks of action between January...
